I saw a bunch of kickass concerts in 2008, here is the year in review:

8/9/2008 All Points West - Radiohead

APW was easily the worst festival ever. The idea was pretty cool, execution SUCKED. Ferry was hell. No cabs in lower Manhattan at 1am was hell. 5 BEER LIMIT per PERSON per DAY was H-E-L-L.

Radiohead were awesome. "Planet Telex" was amazing. "Pyramid Song"... "Kid A"... great setlist.

9/21 Stars - Terminal 5

One of my favorite bands. This show was really cool. I thought they would underwhelm and sound wimpy live but the exact opposite was true. Really Really good.

9/18 Mogwai - Terminal 5

I was excited for this gig, it did NOT deliver. disappointing, oh well. They played "Cody," which was kind of a snore. Also, odd crowd vibe. Everyone just kind of stands there and semi-vibes.

9/17 Sigur Ros - United Palace Theater

Really good show. Kind of weird watching a rock show sitting down, but great gig from one of my all time fave bands. David Fricke was in the crowd.

11/20 Iron & Wine - Terminal 5

Oh my gentle jesus this was an amazing show. Chris and I looked at each other a few times during the first few acoustic tunes and gave each other the look of "W.O.W. his voice is ungodly"

6/2 Rilo Kiley - Terminal 5

Saw this gig when Sean Powell was in town. Cool show. Too many hipsters in the crowd, but I love this band.

10/10 Of Montreal - Roseland Ballroom

The PA at Roseland was So. Deafeningly. Loud. I had to leave at 10:30. Granted, I missed seeing Andrew VanWyngarden from MGMT play the encore with them, but it really was unbearably loud
